Research professors
Song Dan, male, born in 1982, from Shangyu, Zhejiang, is a professor and vice dean at the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Hohai University. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a doctoral supervisor. Song is a postdoctoral fellow from Southeast University and a visiting scholar at North Carolina State University, USA. He also serves as a chief researcher at the Hohai University Research Institute in Suqian. His primary research and teaching areas include high-performance metal materials, material corrosion and protection, surface engineering of materials, and the durability of reinforced concrete structures.He has published over 60 SCI papers, with nearly 30 of them as the first author or corresponding author. Song has presided over three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, two provincial-level research projects, and more than ten departmental and enterprise horizontal projects. He holds eight authorized invention patents. His achievements include being selected for the Jiangsu Province Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in 2011, the Jiangsu Province Six Talent Peaks Project in 2016, and the Jiangsu Province Double Innovation Program as a Technology Deputy Director in 2019. He also won the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked sixth).
